Quilting Time!

A little quilting progress
I finally started quilting this quilt. I chose to do a loop design. I made the loops pretty small so it is slow going.
My husband took the boys to Grandma's for a few hours so I had some quiet time all to myself! Pure heaven.

He also said I could buy a new sewing machine! Not sure what kind to get. Time to do some research :)

Back to reality

Beautiful sunsets
Lots of fishing
Wonderful water views
The boys loved the sand, kayaks and being able to just drop your pole into the water to get fish. It was a great trip!
While we were there I was able to finish all of my hexagons. Now I need to decide what to do with them.
I was also able to stop by Country Fabrics and Quilting in Brainerd. They won 1st place in the Quilt Minnesota Store Display sponsored by Moda. This was a wonderful store. A great mixture of fabrics - batiks, Moda, Amy Butler, wool, flannels. I walked away with some Hope Valley by Densye Schmidt and some Amy Butler - I think from her Midwest Modern line but not positive.

My current project
This is what I was working on before my basement flooded. I was so close to having the final borders on.

What a wet and tiring weekend

![]() |
This was my sewing corner of the basement. I picked 5 projects to keep at the house and the rest went to storage. We are going to make me a corner in the living room, so I don't go insane the next few months as we are putting things back together.
Not sure when I will have more quilting projects to show. But now I have a chance to play around with EQ7. I loaded that on my computer this afternoon.

Look what I got!!!
Look what I bought myself! I am sooooo excited! Not sure when I will have time to load it and play around. But I can't wait!
Is anyone else using EQ7?
