World Cup Hexagon Month Hex-along

I decided to join the World Cup Hexagon Month Hex-a-long sponsored by Urban Crunch http://urbancrunch.wordpress.com/2010/06/10/world-cup-hexagon-month-hex-a-long/.

I have just recently started doing hexagons. Something small and portable to take to ball games!

I currently have two hexagon projects in the works. The first is for my local quilt guild. At the last meeting we were given a 12 inch dowel and were told to "dress" it for the next meeting. No rules. I am planning on doing two flowers and then have smaller hexagons for the stems and use templates for Dresdan plates for the petals.

The second is for a charm pack that I have had sitting around for over a year, not sure what to create with it. I am about a third of the way through sewing the hexagons. Not sure how I will finish it - whether they will be made into flowers or have a random design. The final size will probably be a small wall hanging.

I fell in love with hexagons after sewing this quilt.
Anyone else working on hexies?
